All we want is safety and equal opportunities for girls. If you do not support this, are we really on the 'same side'? -TGJP Some elected la
Some elected lawmakers are making various excuses for not protecting girls’ sports. At least one has stated ‘concern for verification of reproductive biology.’
“How would we do that?”š
More ridiculous excuses and fabrications to justify pushing girls aside to satisfy male wants and desires.
The Truth
As a parent who raised a child who participated in sports, I am familiar with this process.
In the United States, most schools and sports organizations require children to have a physical examination, often called a pre-participation physical evaluation (PPE), before they can participate in sports.
This is required to ensure that children are physically fit and healthy enough to engage in the physical demands of sports safely.
Even further, if your child has additional medical concerns, the doctor may order other tests, and/or make a referral to a specialist.
What Does a Sports Physical Include?
A sports physical typically includes:
- Medical History Review: Information about the childās past illnesses, injuries, surgeries, or any family history of medical conditions like heart disease.
- Physical Examination: Measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and heart rate, as well as an evaluation of the child’s vision, flexibility, strength, and overall physical health.
- Heart and Lung Check: Listening to the heart and lungs to identify any abnormalities.
- Musculoskeletal Assessment: Examining joints, bones, and muscles for injuries or conditions that could be exacerbated by sports activities.
- Immunization Check: Ensuring the childās vaccinations are up to date.
- Hernia Check: A hernia check involves the doctor examining the groin area to ensure there are no abnormal bulges or weaknesses in the abdominal wall where a hernia could occur. In boys, this may include checking the inguinal region (near the groin) and asking the child to cough while the doctor gently palpates the area.

Houses Passes Bill to Protect Women’s Sports
The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025 defines sex as biological, and prevents men and boys from playing in womenās sports. It reads:
Section 901 of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. 1681) is amended by adding at the end the following:
ā(d) (1) It shall be a violation of subsection (a) for a recipient of Federal funds who operates, sponsors, or facilitates athletic programs or activities to permit a person whose sex is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls.
ā(2) For purposes of this subsection, sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.ā.
The bill passed the House today with surprising bipartisan support, signaling a shift in support for women’s sex-based rights. Now we need to get it through the Senate, which has introduced its version of the bill – Senate Bill 9.
