About Rosa’s Children
Protecting the Vulnerable. Holding Communities Accountable.
At Rosa’s Children, we believe that every child deserves to be safe, believed, and protected—no exceptions.
Too often, predators and abusers are shielded by silence, denial, and the refusal of communities to hold them accountable. We are here to break that silence, expose the tactics of those who harm children, and equip adults with the knowledge and tools to intervene.
What We Stand For
- Protecting Children from Abuse & Exploitation – We educate, advocate, and take action to safeguard children from those who seek to harm them.
- Ending Community Grooming – Predators don’t just groom kids—they groom entire communities. We teach parents, teachers, and leaders how to recognize and disrupt these tactics.
- Challenging Institutions that Fail to Protect Kids – Whether it’s schools, churches, or organizations that enable abuse, we believe in demanding accountability.
- Equipping Families with the Tools to Advocate – We provide education on child safety, legal rights, and how to navigate systems that too often fail survivors.
Why the Name ‘Rosa’s Children’?
When Tonya GJ Prince bravely spoke the truth—that she was being abused by males her family trusted—her grandmothers were her refuge. Instead, they became what generations of Black grandmothers have always been—a sanctuary in the storm.
Her grandmothers did not flinch. They did not try to silence her. They did not ask her to carry the weight of protecting anyone but herself.
For so many children, grandmothers are the first to believe.
They are the first to say, “You are not crazy. You are not lying. You are not alone.”
And that is the beginning of healing.
The name honors the countless children—past and present—who were harmed, silenced, or ignored because adults prioritized comfort over truth. It is a reminder that no child should have to fight alone.
Every child is somebody’s baby. Every child deserves fierce protection.
We stand for them. We fight for them.
And we will not be silent.
