Predators Don’t Just Target Children—They Groom Communities Too

A truth-telling post from RosasChildren.com

Some of y’all are way too comfortable turning child safety into a debate.

A known predator gets arrested, and instead of asking:

  • Who protected the children?

  • How do we make sure this never happens again?

  • Are there more victims who need help?

You say things like:

“It wasn’t a pastor, though.”
“They weren’t famous.”
“This doesn’t happen in our community.”
“What about when [insert unrelated group] does it?”

And just like that, the conversation goes sideways.

And the child gets forgotten. Again.

🔥 Let’s Be Very Honest:

Deflection protects predators.
Clarity protects children.

When you redirect attention to irrelevant details—like someone’s job, race, fame, or politics—you are doing the predator’s work for them.

You’re helping to:

  • Delay the truth

  • Distract the public

  • Confuse the listener

  • Shift the focus away from accountability

  • And worst of all: leave the child alone in the dark

🛑 This is Not a Game.

You either care about protecting children or you’re playing games on social media.

There is no middle ground.
There is no “but what about…”
There is no “that’s not how we do things here.”

A child was harmed. That is the headline. That is the urgency. That is the cause.

✊🏽 If You Truly Care About Children:

  • Stop helping predators by shifting blame elsewhere.

  • Stop measuring harm by whether you like or respect the person who did it.

  • Stop defending silence because the abuser had a title or a smile.

  • Stop needing the “perfect victim” before you get outraged.

  • Stop treating child sexual abuse like it’s a culture war talking point.

This isn’t about your favorite group.
It’s about a child who was preyed on.

🎯 The Work Is This Simple:

👉🏽 Focus on the harm.
👉🏽 Believe the child.
👉🏽 Break the silence.
👉🏽 Hold the predator accountable.
👉🏽 Stop protecting systems that fail the vulnerable.

Children are watching us.
Predators are watching us.
Survivors are watching us.

And some of y’all are too busy defending reputations to defend children.

🧶 From RosasChildren.com:

We are not here to soften the truth.
We are not here to coddle grown folks’ feelings.
We are here for the children who have already been silenced, sidelined, and sacrificed.

Protecting children is not up for debate. It is sacred. It is urgent. It is non-negotiable.

Pick a side.
And if it’s not the child—step out of the way.
