Our leaders must lead in ways that teach children the truth: it is always wrong to harm children.
Right now, we are failing them. Children learn more by watching us than by listening to what we say. When leaders act as if harming children is acceptable, as if it is no big deal, as if accountability does not matter, they are teaching children dangerous lessons.
Every time harm is excused or minimized, children see it. They begin to believe that cruelty can be ignored, that safety is negotiable, that justice is optional.
They are watching us. They are watching what we support.
Do we support leaders who harm children?
Do we believe people should get away with harming children?
The children are watching, and they are learning.
RosasChildren stands firm in this: children deserve better.
They deserve leaders who protect them, who value their lives, and who model what it means to do no harm.
