Those who do not hear shall feel. -African Proverb
There are some of us that have been begging people to consider the long-term impact of hyper-medicalizing child discomfort and
challenges. Not everything that a human being-especially the little ones and the younger ones- can be remedied with surgery and medication. We stopped caring that you called people voicing concerns “hateful,” “bigots”, and the slur of the day.
We decided you didn’t know any better …and didn’t want to know.
But STILL what about the children? What about the young people in pain? What about the young people? Period.
Everyone has an opinion, but not everyone has a well informed one.We knew it would come to this. Some of those children are older now. And they have some things to say.
The truth? Surgical and medical interventions with permanent and life-altering consequences socially mass-marketed prescribed to vulnerable children. Even more, cautious voices—often required for balance—were intentionally shunned and cast aside.
I’m so sorry that they had to go through a fire that we could have prevented. It is society’s duty to keep children safe.
I’m irritated, and I’m pissed off. Stay out of the way when people devoted to children’s health and well-being are trying to protect them.

Listen to their brave voices. Scott Weiner is a lawmaker from California. The brave young person is Jonni Skinner.
