You can’t go across one year of history on this planet without running into entire movements that sacrificed, punished, and harmed girls just to make others a little more comfortable. 

I have not and will not remain silent about the erosion of girls’ rights.  What is being done to them now is horrifying, dangerous, and harmful. Girls do not deserve the lackluster way that we adults treat their precious existence. 

I continue to applaud every courageous voice who stands against this shameful, unreasonable, and cruel treatment of girl children. 

Let’s stop acting as if the rights of girls are conditional and negotiable.  This is a disgrace.

In taking this stand at this time, we thought we had lost “friends and allies”.  But we actually gained clarity. and strength, and determination to keep fighting harder and smarter ….for all children. 

Her life matters…too.
